# Observer A · Follow-up clarification

Fictional source. Recorded 16 August 2026 after the initial report was issued. This is a second account from Observer A, not an additional witness. It was not sworn.

## Account

I have now read the first report and seen the three plotted channels. I want to clarify what I meant by “moved upward” in my first account. I meant that the light's apparent position changed relative to the ridge. I did not measure its distance, and I did not calculate a physical speed. The plotted optical angle is useful context, but I cannot independently confirm that every plotted sample corresponds to the light I was watching.

The graph also made me more aware of how uncertain my timing is. My original estimate of about a minute was a recollection. It was not obtained by matching the beginning and end of the curve. If I give a more precise time after looking at that graph, that would be a later inference influenced by the recording, not an improvement in the precision of my original observation. Please retain the date and wording of the first account alongside this clarification.

I still remember the triangular arrangement, with darkness between the points. I do not remember a connecting surface. I am less comfortable with drawings that turn the arrangement into the outline of a solid triangular object. The sketch in my first account should be read as a map of remembered lights. B's different description does not cause me to withdraw mine, but I do not know enough to explain the difference or to establish that we saw the same thing.

I also want to separate the later collection work from what I observed. I did not see the surface mark form, and I cannot link it to the light. A material sample may be useful as a record of the site, especially with a nearby control, but my statement provides no basis for calling that material unusual. Further work should start with the actual source files, their timing and the collection documentation rather than treating the grouping of these records as a conclusion.
