# Synthetic measurement example

Every document and artifact here is synthetic. No ELDÆON data, real calibration,
scientific conclusion or reproduced processing result is represented.

Documents and assets are copied without modification from:

Source license: MIT; see LICENSE. The portal adds this README, package.json and
run.mjs. The script uses the published @disclosureos/schema@2.0.0-beta.4 package.
The four input contracts use schemaVersion 0.1.0, separate from the npm version.
The history embeds its observation; newer research histories are not interchangeable
with this profile's input contract.

With Node.js 22 or newer, run from this folder:

    npm install
    npm start

Expected: success true; structural, semantic and profile checks passed.
External, scientific, clockUncertainty and artifactContents remain not_checked.
The profile matches required artifact sizes and digests, but does not assert overall
external verification, interpret those files or reproduce the measured value.
The calibration review is explicitly unreviewed; binding does not certify it.

Run one experiment at a time:

    npm start -- --missing
    npm start -- --changed
    npm start -- --wrong-channel
    npm start -- --outside-capture

--missing withholds product:captured-raw bytes: profile not_checked and an
EXTERNAL.ASSET_UNAVAILABLE warning. --changed flips one byte without changing
length: external and profile failed, EXTERNAL.DIGEST_MISMATCH.
--wrong-channel names missing-channel: semantic and profile failed,
MEASUREMENT.CHANNEL. --outside-capture moves the measurement to the exclusive
capture endpoint: semantic and profile failed, MEASUREMENT.OUTSIDE_CAPTURE.

These experiments change only in-memory inputs and exit with status 1. They leave
all downloaded files intact. Run npm start again to recover the passing result.
Unknown or combined flags exit with status 2 and print usage.

The synthetic history deliberately exercises declarations including source
assertions and assessment claims. A claim's reported level or outcome is its
author's declaration, not an endorsement by the evaluator or this example.
