v2 Beta / 05 / Origins

Make explanations open to review.

Compare possible explanations while keeping uncertainty visible.

The Origin Classification System (OCS) organizes possible explanations. Its categories provide a vocabulary for inquiry, including hypotheses whose scientific status remains contested.

What the beta supports

The OCS catalog organizes hypotheses for comparison. An attributed assessment makes its inputs and reasoning visible; catalog membership is not proof of an explanation.

The OCS adapts Col. Karl Nell (U.S. Army, ret.)’s Proposed Taxonomy of UAP Origin Hypotheses, presented at the Sol Foundation Symposium, Stanford University, November 2023.
